J Kelly Accinni dropped a lovely review of Agency Rules – Never an Easy Day at the Office for us today. We always love it when readers, who are authors as well, tell us their views.
“I was struck by a very interesting fact as I began this fast paced political thriller. Allow me to quote: …the Federal Internal Minister, Harvard grad and inexperienced, who would make the decision… and, “We are sitting here today watching the largest urban center in Pakistan burn because the political leadership can’t stop blaming everyone else long enough to find a solution.”
Do you see it? Who is the world leader being referenced? Doesn’t it sound just like President Barack Obama? lol This had convinced me that politicians are the same lying, power mongers the world over. For this is not the scandal ravaged and feckless President of the United States but a character dreamed up from the newest literary talent from Pakistan. A mere coincidence, although very entertaining.
As an American, I must say… prepare for an education. Some, dare I say most in this country know little about the history of other countries and their strifes. We wear blinders as long as the air conditioning is working and you don’t have to stand in line too long for the latest iPhone or Air Jordans.
As much as Agency Rules – Never an Easy Day at the Office is a page burner in the tradition of John Le Carre it is also an inside peek at the crushing difficulties lived by our some of our Arab brothers and sisters for thousands of years.”
