CIA and Penny Lane

CIA Training Base - Penny LaneMany of us have long believed that the barbaric tactics of the Tehrik-e-Taliban were against the norms of Islam, but the Associated Press has blow the cover off that belief with a report of a facility miles from Gitmo known as “Penny Lane.”

Penny Lane is a staging ground where Afghan Taliban are converted to CIA operatives and sent back into the battlefield as Tehrik-e-Taliban fighters to destabilize Pakistan. If this is the case, then it proves that the CIA has not learned its lesson from al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden, a creation of their involvement in the Afghan resistance of the Soviet invasion. To create a new monster that has attacked CIA bases in Afghanistan and Pakistan, while killing tens of thousands of innocent civilians is absolute stupidity and a clear declaration of war.

It would also be interesting to know if the drone strikes that are carried out are to silence those who may turn against the Agency and reveal all the secrets. But with the AP story, it seems the cat is out of the bag.
